Eighty years after the end of World War II, there are few living veterans of the war. Eggers, an Albany resident riding with the American Rosie the Riveter Association, had worked as a riveter at Boeing in Seattle. About 30 members of Oregon State University’s ROTC program had arrived two hours before the parade to volunteer.
