The United States Naval Academy was well represented in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday with defensive tackle Landon Robinson and running back Eli Heidenreich from the Midshipmen each being selected by AFC North teams.
The former Navy running back was drafted in the seventh round by his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was in Pittsburgh at the draft to celebrate the moment. Heidenreich grew up in Pittsburgh, attending Mt. Lebanon High School before committing to Navy.
